In Old Gods, Cosmin Marian Guta explores the tension between the divine and the human, between flesh and myth. At the center, a female figure in apparent trance emerges, surrounded by androgynous presences—golden bodies that evoke ancient deities, guardians, or projections of archaic spirituality.
Bathed in a palette of pinks and ochres, the work conveys an atmosphere suspended between dream and revelation. The mixed-media technique adds depth and texture, as if time itself had left its mark on the canvas.
Old Gods is a reflection on the persistence of myth in contemporary times: ancient gods have not disappeared, they have only taken new forms within the body and gaze of modern humanity.
